个人介绍:

陈雪梅教授1988年获得北京大学生物学学士学位,1995年获得美国康奈尔大学生物化学博士学位,随后在加州理工学院进行博士后研究。她于1999年在罗格斯大学瓦克斯曼研究所担任助理教授,于2005年晋升为副教授,并获得罗格斯大学董事会学术卓越研究奖。她于2005年转至加州大学河滨分校,任副教授,2009年晋升为正教授,2013年晋升为讲席教授。自2023年2月起,任金沙集团wwW3354CC讲席教授、院长。2006年获美国植物生物学家协会颁发的查尔斯·阿尔伯特·舒尔奖,2011年当选为AAAS研究员,2012年至2018年任HHMI-GBMF研究员。2013年当选为美国国家科学院院士。2018年获得了南加州华裔科学家和工程师协会的成就奖。2023年获美国植物生物学家协会颁发的Martin Gibbs Medal. 2024年获得求是基金会的杰出科学家奖。她的研究方向是花的发育、植物小RNA和RNA修饰。

      早期研究植物花形态建成的基因调控机制,发现与RNA代谢相关的蛋白参与花器官分化。进而发现其中某些蛋白参与小RNA 代谢与功能。之后主要研究小RNA的生物合成, 降解,及作用机制。
目前的主要研究方向之一为小RNA的细胞间运输机制及作为信号分子调控植物响应温度变化的机制。第二个主要研究方向为RNA的非典型加帽修饰, 比如NAD, FAD, dpCoA 帽子的加入,去除机制及分子功能。第三个研究方向为叶绿体发育, 基因表达, 及RNA 修饰。
